It is important to note that children will not be reclassified to repeat the same year. Our teachers will continue to cater for the learning, social, and emotional needs of each child regardless of their year level.
If your child is in Year 1 – 5 and they will not be returning to Sunnybrae in 2022, please email our Deputy Principal, Karen Rodger at krodger@sunnybrae.school.nz. Alternatively, if your child is to start at Sunnybrae, please let us know.

Students who are currently attending school onsite will exchange resources on the following dates:
|
Thursday 9 December: Y4/5 students
Friday 10 December: Year 6 students
Monday 13 December: Y1-3 students
It is very important that all resources (devices, books, etc) are returned to us as having to replace them impacts significantly on our budget for 2022. Celebrating Our School Work –
Year 6 Diary Entries
|
Dear Diary
What a world we live in. Even through these tough COVID times, NZ has made everyone feel safe.
Today is a great example – the first day back at school in 93 days of lockdown and 12 weeks of home learning. This morning I was practically bouncing around, got up fifteen minutes earlier than I usually do and had a wide grin plastered to my face that I couldn’t take off. My joy-o-meter was threatening to burst as I spun around my bedroom and nearly tripped as I raced up the stairs, unable to contain my ecstasy.
Our world is safe and loving. It can harm sometimes. It can carry loss and sadness. But it will catch you and stop you from hitting the ground.
Sienna R20
Dear Diary
What in the world? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It has been 100 days of lockdown properly. I have been in lockdown for that long! For 70% of lockdown I have been binge watching lots of shows and when I say lots I mean lots! I have also realised when I am writing even my letters are socially distanced.
I have also been waiting for the hairdressers to open, they are taking ages! My mum said if the hairdressers don’t open soon she will cut my hair which is a horrible idea.
