Dear Parents/Caregivers,

This afternoon, the Sunnybrae staff gathered together after school to review our Drop Off and Pick up procedures. 

Changes – 2:50 pm Pick Up for Year 1 Students

We are asking for your assistance with the following changes to Pick up.

Year 1 Students

2:50 pm          Year 1 Teachers escort their Year 1 students to their ‘spot’ at Sunnybrae Road.

Older Sibling of Year 1 Students

2:50 pm          Older students pick up their Year 1 sibling from their classroom and take them to the Sunnybrae Road gate.

Family Groups

2:50 pm          Eldest in the family group picks up younger siblings and takes them to the gate of choice as agreed by parents.

Year 2 – 6 Students

3:00 pm          Year 2/3, Year 4/5 and Year 6 teachers walk with their class to the gate used by the majority of their students.

Three Gates for Drop Off and Pick Up

Please decide as a family the gate you will use for Drop Off and Pick Up. We ask that more families use Northgrove Avenue or Ellen Avenue to reduce congestion at Sunnybrae Road. This will allow for increased social distancing as well. See map below.

Drop Off: 8:30 – 8:45 am – All Students

• Parents/Caregivers select a gate that suits your family.
• Staff will be present at all gates.
• Park away from the school grounds and walk your child to and from school.

No Parents/Caregivers on School Grounds

• To reduce contact tracing.

Food and Water

*Please ensure you pack the following for your children:

• 10:00 am = Brain Break Food (fruit or vegetable)
• 11:00 am = Morning Tea
• 1:15 pm = Lunch
• Water bottle (only water is allowed at school)

Uniform

• Full uniform (all pieces named)
• Sunnybrae Hat (compulsory in Terms 1 and 4)

Swimming Lessons

• Each child will receive 8 Skills4Life lessons run over consecutive days.
• Instructional Swimming lessons start on Thursday for:

        – Year 6 classes (Rooms 18, 19, 20)

        – Year 2/3 classes (Rooms 7, 8, 10, 11, 12)

        – Room 1

• Please send your children with named togs, a towel and a school jersey. 
• The remaining classes will have their lessons in Weeks 3 and 4.
