“Every child is an artist” – Picasso
Our students are so excited to be able to exhibit their artwork for the Sunnybrae Art Celebration in Term 4 Week 2 on Thursday 27th October (3-7pm). As this is a fundraiser, we will be selling two pieces of each child’s art for $5 per item, one of which has a Maori focus. These pieces will be judged and awarded prizes by our lovely sponsor, Angela Temata from Harcourts Realty. We are really looking forward to bringing our families to view our art and share the gallery experience with us in our school hall and surrounding spaces. This really is a celebration as we all gather together as a community for the first time in a couple of years.
Also on offer is a Bake Sale in the Sunnybrae staffroom – a Sausage Sizzle in the court yard – an auction is to be held for our donated art by Rix Meaker – Angela Temata from Harcourts Realty will be running raffle prizes and has supplied a Coffee and Icecream cart for refreshments. Cash on the day will be our preferred method of payment so get your gold coins ready! There will be a special prize giving for the winners of each category at 6.30pm, in the hall hosted by Angela Temata.
Please bring cash to buy food, drinks and a raffle ticket or two.
