Costume for School Production The students are busy practising for the upcoming production Music through the Ages that is being held in Term 3. Your classroom teacher has advised you of the costume needed for your classroom dance on an earlier Hero post. Please help us out by sending your costume into school on Monday 22nd or Tuesday 23 July (Term 3, Week 1). The costume will need to be supplied on a coat hanger and also have attached a paper/plastic bag that will hold the accessories your child will wear on the night. This will be returned to you after the show.
Performance Dates are: Friday 16th August – Rooms 1, 3, 4, 10, 13, 15, 17, 19 Friday 23rd August – Rooms 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 at Westlake Girls School Hall. Tickets will go on sale in Term 3.
If there are any creative parents that would like to help out behind the scenes with accessories and costumes or assist with dance routines please contact your classroom teacher. Help with basic sewing skills will be appreciated. We will need sashes and scrunchies sewn for some classes. (A pattern can be provided.)

Junior Basketball We were so excited to hear that our Year 2-3 basketball team, Sunnybrae Magic, placed first in their grade. Well done to the team. We see you training hard every week and love to hear how your games go. You have shown great sportsmanship and excellence while you have played basketball this semester. Congratulations to you all and we look forward to seeing you participate in basketball in Semester 2. Thank you to Team Manager, Kat Naylan and Coach, Gillian Greehill for your dedication.
