Alert Level 3 Continues

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Yesterday the NZ government announced that Auckland will remain in Alert Level 3 and will be in place for a further week, with a review on Monday 18 October. Therefore, the school will essentially remain closed except for the children of Essential Workers or for those parents/caregivers who are going to work and have no one available to provide childcare. 

Onsite Student Bubbles

If you will be sending your child to school during Alert Level 3, please email Lorene Hurd, Principal at lhurd@sunnybrae.school.nz as soon as possible to allow us time to prepare. Please be aware that the students onsite during Alert Level 3 will be following the Home Learning Programme.

Home Learning For all Students

The Home Learning Programme and Zoom Sessions provided for all students will continue and will begin again on Monday 18 October. Wellbeing, PB4L and The Resilience Project activities will continue to be linked to each weekly plan. Planning for next week, Term 4 Week 1 will be sent out this Friday 15 October. Thank you to our parent community and staff, as we all work together to support your child’s learning from home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or require assistance.

Covid Testing

All Sunnybrae Staff will be Covid tested before coming to work. Those staff who are not fully vaccinated already are required to be Covid tested weekly, until they are double jabbed.

Covid Vaccination

As per government guidelines, all staff will be fully vaccinated by January 1st 2022.
