1. PTA Raffle – 29 Days of Prizes
|
Next week our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is launching their latest fundraising initiative – The Sunnybrae Normal School PTA Fundraiser 2022 with 29 days of prizes! All money raised will go towards an upgrade to our basketball courts.
We have fantastic prizes all set out in calendar format, one prize per day for 29 days through June 7 – July 5. You buy a ticket, enter the draw and every day a new prize is drawn. If you win a prize and the calendar hasn’t finished, your ticket is placed back into the draw for another chance to win something else.
How does it work?
- At the beginning of next week every child in the school will be given two $10 raffle tickets to sell.
- Purchasers fill out their name, phone number and email address on the ticket stub.
- Check the Terms & Conditions printed on the ticket.
- Students return ticket stubs and any cash payments to the school office in the envelope provided by 9:00 am on June 7.
- Pay for tickets on MyKindo or at the office using cash.
- All ticket stubs need to be returned with, child’s name, room number and how payment was made, either Kindo or Cash.
Sell the Most Tickets
There will be a prize for the student in each syndicate who sells the most tickets. All students who sell and return their two tickets go in the draw for a voucher. Once your child has sold 2 tickets, they can bring them back to the office and we will allocate them more to sell if you wish.
Raffle tickets will be sent home with all children early next week. Please look out for the envelope in your child’s bookbag.

Many of our junior netball teams had their first game last week. For many students, this was their first game of netball ever. The teams worked so well together, showing a lot of support for each other and having fun along the way. It was great to have many older siblings encouraging on the sideline too. Thank you so much to the managers and coaches who have helped to make it all happen!

6. Updating Parent/Caregiver Permissions
|
As part of the transition to our new Student Management System, we are currently updating ‘Parent/Caregiver Permissions’ for each student enrolled at Sunnybrae Normal School. A Google form has been emailed to all of our ‘Primary Caregivers’. If you have not yet completed this form for each of your children, we would appreciate it if you could do so as soon as possible. If you have not received this form from krodger@sunnybrae.school.nz, please check your spam and junk mail.

Mums, dads, grandparents, carers, aunties, uncles… your local Hospice shops have been hit hard by Covid-19 and we really need your help. Come and volunteer with us! Just one three-hour shift per week will make such a difference to us. Flexible weekly shifts are available to fit in around your lifestyle, and our volunteers have so much fun and really enjoy the company of the other volunteers and shoppers. Come on your own or bring a friend and help Hospice care for your community. Call into your local shop and talk to the manager or contact your local Hospice.
