REMINDER: School Arrival Time is 8.30am At Sunnybrae we ask for children not to arrive at school before 8.30am as teachers are often in meetings and preparing for the day in the classroom, and children are therefore unsupervised if they are here early. We have a number of children arriving early each day. Please can you help us by either booking your child into before school care or not arriving before the 8.30am bell. Thank you for your support.

Parent Teacher Conferences & Goal Setting We are holding our Sunnybrae Parent Teacher Conferences and Goal Setting on the 8th and 9th March. We hope that all families will attend these meetings so that you can share your insights on how we can best support your child. Teachers are interested in learning about what success looks like for your child, what supports their learning, and any potential barriers to the learning process. Teachers will share how your child has settled into their new class and routines. Parents and teachers will collaboratively set learning goals for your child for the coming term.
Please note that children will need to be picked up at 12.30pm on Wednesday the 8th March.
Click here if you need after-school care with the YMCA
Bookings Please book an appointment with your child’s teacher. You will be able to book a 10 minute interview. If you have more than one child, we recommend that you leave a 10 minute gap between appointments to allow yourself time to move between classrooms.
Bookings are now open for both of these evenings and can be made electronically through www.schoolinterviews.co.nz using the School Event Code hcjcy. If you need support to make a booking online please see your child’s teacher.
If you need language support please fill in this Google form so that we can arrange a translator.

SPORTS UPDATE: Swimming Carnival Thanks to all the parents and caregivers that attended our Swimming Carnivals today and yesterday. The children had a fabulous time swimming in events and putting to use all the skills they have learnt at the recent swimming lessons. It has been wonderful to see how much confidence they have gained in the water from these lessons. Please keep packing togs and towels in their schoolbags as there is the opportunity for lunchtime swims while the weather is hot and sunny.

PTA UPDATE: One week to go… We are working hard behind the scenes getting organised for the Family Fun Fest, our biggest fundraiser for the year. A big thank you to all the parent helpers that have signed up to help on the day. Your support is greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to an entertaining evening with Food Trucks, Cake & Dessert stalls, Sausage Sizzle, Inflatables, Carnival Side-Show games, raffles and much more. Bring the whole family, a picnic blanket and your generosity for a fun filled event.
Tickets We will be running a cashless system for all Sunnybrae-run games and food stalls. One dollar buys one ticket and these tickets can be used to buy food, drinks, raffles and entry to activities on the night. The PTA will be selling ticket bundles from the School Office every morning next week from 8.30-9am. Cash and Eftpos are available. It is recommended that you buy some tickets during the week if you can, to avoid queues on the night. There will be a ticket booth operating at the festival with Eftpos and cash so you don’t have to worry about running out of tickets. Please note that the contracted food trucks will be operating their own cash or electronic payment systems. Unused tickets will not be refunded.
Home Baking Always a popular stall with the kids! If you can help with home baking for us to sell on the night at our dessert stall, please deliver baked goods to the staffroom anytime on Friday 10th March.
Chocolate Bar Donation – Please help us out We still need king sized bars of chocolate for the famous Chocolate Coin Toss game. Chocolate bars can be dropped at the school office anytime.
